Ten Eastside schools were honored this week for showing outstanding improvement in student achievement by The Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) based in Redmond.
The School of Distinction Award Winners for 2011 include schools from Bellevue, Lake Washington (Redmond, Kirkland, Sammamish), Northshore (Bothell), Issaquah and Renton school districts.

Outstanding improvement in student achievement led to a special honor for 99 schools, including 53 elementary, 22 middle, 17 high schools and 7 alternative schools. In the Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) region, which serves King and Pierce counties and Bainbridge Island, 36 schools in 18 school districts were award winners.
