New luxurious movie theater coming to Redmond | Business

Redmond is getting a new luxury movie theater!

iPic Theaters will open its new movie house at Redmond Town Center on Friday.

Amenities include reserved seating, pillows, blankets, beer, wine and all kinds of organic food options. Tickets cost $18.50 with optional recliner upgrade for $8.50 more.

Movie fans in Redmond, Wash. will have a new movie theater to experience come June 10, 2011 with the opening of iPic Theaters, a premium yet affordable movie theater providing more choices for the ultimate escape in movie going. iPic Theaters, located in the Redmond Town Center, offers a night of comfort, selection, service and technology.

Also, as a limited-time offer, new and current members will receive one free movie ticket to experience the opening and the exciting changes happening at their local theater. The free ticket offer will be emailed to members through June 10, and can be used for up to 60 days following receipt.

“iPic Theaters takes a typical, hectic movie-going experience and creates one that provides comfort, relaxation and options,” said Mark Mulcahy, vice president of marketing, iPic Theaters. “This new concept provides more choices and more accessibility for better enjoyment for all. At iPic Theaters, we pride ourselves in providing quality services and unique food and beverages for a great night out.”

iPic Theaters is taking over other locations, including Austin, Texas; Fairview, Texas; South Barrington, Ill.; and Bolingbrook, Ill.

Guests of iPic Theaters will enjoy the array of options offered, allowing guests to choose the way they want to experience their movie:

• Comfort: iPic Theaters offers two levels of reserved stadium seating with unobstructed views. Premium Plus seating offers reclining chairs, pillows and blankets, popcorn and in-cinema service for the first 20 minutes. Premium seating offers extra comfortable large leather chairs with small tables for eating in-cinema
• Selection: Choose from an extensive food and drink selection with 20 beers on tap and by the bottle, as well as nearly 35 bottled wines and more than 30 available by the glass with the option of “select and serve” wine by the glass in iPic’s wine towers
  • Salt Lounge provides great nightlife atmosphere, whether for a drink before or after a movie, or just to hang out. Salt offers drinks as fresh as the food served with a cocktail menu crafted by iPic Theater’s certified mixologist; including Seattle-themed cocktails, such as:
    • Smoke & Tonic – Alderwood, cucumber, lime and thyme-infused Plymouth Gin, Yuzu Sour, tonic and Bar Keep herbal organic bitters, served with Salt & Tellicherry cucumbers
    • Rainier Cherry Beertail – Redmond's local Mac & Jack African Amber beer combined with Amaretto-soaked Rainier cherries
